The actress stars tonight in The Matrix Reloaded on Cinemax.

Today's 'HD Hottie' is Monica Bellucci, who co-stars tonight With Keanu Reeves in high-def in The Matrix Reloaded at 5:35 p.m. ET on Cinemax.

The 43-year-old actress, who was born in Italy, started as a model in the 1980s but began acting in the 90s in such movies as Bram Stoker's Dracula, Tears of the Sun (with Bruce Willis) and Brotherhood of the Wolf.

But it was her sexy turn as the temptress Persephone in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 that won her fame and fortune. She followed up that role playing Mary Magdalene in Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ and reprising Persephone the final Matrix film, Matrix Revolutions.
